How to check and clean Gemini text

Copy the answer and paste it into the inspector. Look at the findings before cleaning, especially when the answer contains formulas, a comparison table, or text in several languages. If the visible layout is the problem, switch to formatting cleanup and check each heading and list after conversion.

For a table, verify the relationship between labels and values after pasting into a spreadsheet. A plain-text cleaner does not understand the business meaning of the cells. For example, a line containing a plan name, price, and billing interval must keep those values together; removing decoration alone cannot guarantee a correct import.

Gemini SynthID vs hidden Unicode characters

Google describes SynthID text watermarking as an adjustment to token probabilities during generation. The signal is associated with patterns in the generated text, not a hidden space that a Unicode scanner can isolate. Finding no unusual characters therefore says nothing about whether a Gemini passage was watermarked.

It is useful to keep the question precise. “Why does this product title wrap strangely?” can be answered by inspecting a no-break space. “Did Gemini generate this passage?” calls for provenance evidence or a suitable provider verification process. One result cannot substitute for the other.

Preserve citations and links in Gemini output

When Gemini provides references, open the original sources and confirm that they support the specific sentences you plan to use. Preserve enough citation detail to find those sources later. Link formatting may change when text becomes plain text, so review URLs rather than assuming a clickable label contains the address you need.

Finish by comparing the cleaned text with the original for numbers, names, units, and paragraph boundaries. Keep any required AI-use disclosure. This workflow improves portability and editorial control while avoiding an unsupported promise that cleaned text is undetectable or proven human-written.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this page tell whether SynthID is present?

No. The findings concern Unicode characters and do not evaluate Google’s statistical text watermark.

Does a plain-text paste remove SynthID?

Changing clipboard formatting does not by itself remove a signal expressed through the generated words.
